The 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer brings one of the longest lists of updates the small SUV has seen. Chevrolet announced the changes on October 8, 2026, and they reach from the electronics behind the dashboard to the cupholders in the console.
The biggest headline is a new Z71 trim, a first for the Trailblazer. Around it, Chevrolet added more standard safety technology, larger screens, a reworked cabin and new interior colours.
Here is every update, grouped so it is easy to follow. The 2027 Trailblazer is anticipated to arrive at Chevrolet dealers in spring 2027.
The 2027 Trailblazer will be offered in three trims: LT, RS and the all-new Z71.
Every trim shares the new safety list, the new screens and the redesigned cabin. The Z71 then adds its own hardware and interior details.
Chevrolet is bringing the Z71 trim to the Trailblazer for the first time. The brand calls it Chevy’s entry-level adventure-ready AWD model, adding the capability customers look for when the pavement ends.

Chevrolet has used the “Z” identifier since 1963 to signal added capability. Z71 debuted on the brand’s full-size pickup line in 1988 and earned a reputation for rugged appearance and hardware.
Today, Z71 is offered on the Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Colorado and Silverado. The Trailblazer now joins that group.
Megan Liebrock, assistant marketing manager for Trax and Trailblazer, described Z71 as an expression of Chevrolet’s adventurous spirit. She said bringing it to the Trailblazer gives more customers an authentic way to embrace everyday exploration.
Chevrolet says the 2027 Trailblazer interior is designed for the driver. The key change is a new column-mounted shifter.
The new shifter enables a redesigned centre console with more flexible storage. The cupholders can retract, which opens up additional storage space for phones, wallets or whatever else needs a spot.
The updated cabin design also makes room for HVAC vents for rear passengers. Back-seat riders will get their own airflow, a welcome change for families and anyone who regularly carries passengers.
The AutoSense power liftgate will be available on the 2027 Trailblazer. It makes loading groceries, sports gear or luggage easier when your hands are full.
Chevrolet upgraded the electrical and software architecture in the Trailblazer. That upgrade enables more than 20 standard safety and driver assistance features, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Front and Rear Park Assist, Safety Alert Seat and Blind Zone Steering Assist.

These features will come standard on every 2027 Trailblazer, starting with the LT. As always, they support the driver, who stays responsible for driving safely.
Every 2027 Trailblazer will get a new, larger standard 11-inch-diagonal driver information centre and an 11.3-inch-diagonal infotainment screen.
The system runs Google built-in with Gemini compatibility, with an OnStar Basics plan of up to eight years included. OnStar One will be newly available and included for 12 months. It brings the full suite of OnStar services, including in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot capability and video streaming.
Storm Sky Gray is an all-new interior colour for the Chevrolet brand, and it makes its debut on the Trailblazer. Chevrolet describes it as a more natural, earthy tone.
